Heyward Damon, Jr. is the President & CEO of Damon Executive Event Planners, LLC an independent event planning firm who specializes in developing and managing corporate events (conferences/retreats/sales incentive programs) and charity events and outings.
He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA he received a BS degree in Accounting from Florida A&M University in 1986.
His career includes spending 4 years in Philadelphia with the international accounting firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells (Now Deloitte & Touche), specializing in performing financial audits of banks and other financial institutions.14 years with E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co. (DuPont) holding a variety of corporate financial leadership roles. 4 years with MBNA/Bank of America as Director of Expense Management.
Mr. Damon presently serves as the Chairman of the board of HBCU Week Foundation, Inc. He formerly served as Vice-Chairman of the Delaware Chapter of National Multiple Sclerosis Society, MS National African American Council, Accounting Director of the United Negro College Fund (Southeastern Region) Telethon, Business Advisory Board of the National Bankers Association and Treasurer of DuPont’s Corporate United Way campaign.
