The HBCU Heroes Secure the Bag HBCU Financial Literacy Tour & Career Fair Series provides opportunities and access to the HBCU universe by sharing tips & tricks from experts on how to secure the bag across industries. From NIL panels to money management webinars, we're bringing this one-of-a-kind, 16-stop HBCU tour as well as virtual learning programs. We want to broaden opportunities to help level the playing field and decrease the wealth gap.

The concept of “Secure the Bag" refers to how to achieve financial success through education, knowledge and experience by clinching the brass ring...no matter the industry.

The tour will begin in the Spring of 2023 as a celebration of Black History Month. It will continue throughout the year during Women's History Monand into the fall. Our goal is to decrease the wealth gap.

Financial literacy is key to understanding how to save, earn, borrow, invest, and protect your money wisely. It is also essential to developing short- and long-term financial habits and skills that lead to greater financial well-being. Participants will be empowered with the skills and confidence to better manage their relationship with money, reduce financial stress and create happier, healthier and wealthier lives.

Each stop will include in-person and virtual program elements. These include:

If you're looking to make 2023 your best year, this tour will take you from ‘Financial Literacy to Financial Capability.’ The program is designed for college students, recent grads & alumni who want to learn more how to secure the bag...and keep it!

Attendees can connect with recruiters, educators and influencers that can help improve their financial literacy to meet their financial and career goals. You’ll also benefit from raffle prizes and recruitment for jobs & internships from our corporate partners at every stop.

The cost of the STB Tour is 100% free to attend. We support financial democracy and believe that great content and informative knowledge should be accessible to everyone to help close the wealth gap.
